Publications

My writing today focuses on short fiction, (especially flash fiction), creative nonfiction essays, writing-craft books, and novels.

As a journalist, I’ve been published since the 1980s, starting with a food column I wrote for Sedona Life magazine. From there, I moved on to cookbooks and a syndicated weekly column for the Los Angeles Times.

When I left the food world, I hopped genres: I wrote and published two books in the spirituality-self-help genre. After I got my MFA, three novels (one is forthcoming in 2024).

Along the way, I’ve written articles on health and healthy eating, art and artists interviews and essays, poems, monthly and weekly columns, and flash fiction and short stories.
